July 22, 2008 Board Meeting Agenda Item #71 Title APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #8029 FOR REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF ASPHALT SURFACES Description Bids to provide 'Repair and Maintenance of Asphalt Surfaces' were received from six vendors on May 8, 2008.  The bid of Asphalt Repair Service was the best low bid meeting the advertised specifications based on a sealed scenario.  The bid of Asphaltec, Inc., was withdrawn by the vendor.  This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods.  The funds for these purchases are contained in the capital budget allocated to the Facilities Services Department. Recommendation That the bid of Asphalt Repair Service to provide 'Repair and Maintenance of Asphalt Surfaces' in an amount not to exceed $200,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
